ArchivedWhy dont most Christians wanna believe in their own bible?Well, even if you didn't think Aineo answered the question you addressed me, I still replied to it myself anyway(Look down in the bold letters of my quote). Did I not say: Alpha said:
When a person says this as a reply to a previous response, that means the person has ran out of things to say. In other words, "I got you!" I made a valid point and that's all you can reply? It's sort of like if I'm arguing with an Athiest and he says, "If God says not to kill, how come he allows the death penalty?" Then I reply, "When God says not to kill He means do not murder. The death penalty is not murder but is meant for justice if carried out in the right way." Finally, the Athiest replies, "Whatever man, you know I got you there." What a fool the athiest is! Didn't I just give him an answer to his question?! "He who has ears, let him hear."
First of all, you are missing the point of the response I gave you. I was answering your initial question. Which was, "So is it wrong to go to war against terrorists, kill them or tell them they're gonna go to hell?" I answered that question. Second, I never said I knew America was going to war for terrorism and to protect the lives of others. I specifically said, "I do know however, that going to war against terrorism for defensive purposes (you can only fight terrorism for defensive purposes anyway) is just." I didn't say America's war was just. I was talking about war against terrorism in general. You contradict yourself in your question. First you say, "If you don't know what America is going to war for..........," then you say, "then how do you know it's really for terrorism........" Didn't I give the impression that I might not know the real reason by saying, "Whether or not America is only doing this for greed (some people say it has something to do with oil- whatever), I cannot judge that because I do not know." To sum things up so you can understand: War against terrorism is just (in a general sense). But I do not know what America's real purpose was for going to war. It could be for positive reasons OR it could be for negative reasons. |
