ArchivedWhy dont most Christians wanna believe in their own bible? :: Re: GuestRe: Guest In America, rapists are punished severely. A person who violates a child is thrown in jail for the rest of his/her life. And on "The O'Reilly Factor" (a FOX News program), it was said that a man who raped a little girl may receive the death penalty. I believe that's too severe, and that the death penalty should be reserved only for murderers. However, that does not mean that I would go easy on the rapist. A man who violates a child should, in my opinion, be castrated and locked up for the rest of his life. I wonder if Lorena Bobbit is looking for a job? Just today, it was announced that a 21-year-old man named Leonard McKinley Minus has been sentenced to life in prison, plus 5 years, for sexual battery, kidnapping and burglary. And he actually believes that he deserves a second chance! Circuit Court Judge Dwight L. Geiger is convinced that Minus needs help for a mental illness, but he also said that the illness makes Minus a danger to his community. Here's what happened: Minus kidnapped his ex-girlfriend from teh Indian River Community College campus on Jan. 8, 2002. He forced her to drive to a wooded area, where he raped her. The victim was pregnant with Minus' child at the time of the attack, and she was was trying to end the relationship when the attack took place. So believe me, we are very hard on rapists. |
