hehe Karienta,
You sound just like me "yay more replies" I love forums too, you are always challenged and changed by them, no matter what you believe when you come to them
Now, let me see, where do we start today? Yes, do read Genesis, but can I suggest you ask yourself a few questions when you do that... those same questions I mentioned in my last post...why am I here, who am I, where am I going. As you do that, it might help you make sense of it what can sometimes be a bit of a confusing start to Bible reading but thanks for forgiving me for using it.
Did you know, that the rest of the Bible rests on Genesis? If you throw out Genesis and especially the foundations of humanity found in it, you may as well throw out the entire bible. Every thing else in the Bible and the reason for it, are found in Genesis.
One point.. you know I tend to look at it the other way.. what is the point of life if there is no hereafter? I mean, why put all the effort into our life, if we have no existance beyond the here and now? Your question last post about the difference between us and animals wouldn't need an answer, as it would be, there is no difference.
I mean, animals spend all their lives surviving and doing nothing else. Look at the man.. there is a constant desire to work and improve themselves and learn, learn learn. Did you ever wonder why man does that? I have a theory it's because man knows that this world is not all that there is to the universe and eternity. Why bother with putting much into say eighty years if that is all we spend.. that's not many days to exist. Especially in the context of world history.
Hehe, guess it brings me back to those questions.. Why am I here? Who am I? Where am I going?
Keep searching and please, keep posting.
