This seems so strange to me...
Let me try to make a few simple points, and see if they dont make sense when I'm done... dont get lost along the way, folks...
In heaven, we will be in the presence of God. Forever.
God is eternal, infinite. He is uncreated, and without a beginning (really stop a second and try to grasp that concept, because it sounds simple, but it's really a doozy).
I could go on a bit more... but can't I just jump to the conclusion and point out, rather cheekily, that when we're in heaven, the only thing you'll be aware of is being in God's presence. Nothing else will matter.
1) Should anything else matter?
2) Do you anticipate that being in His presence really, truly will not be enough for you that you will require/expect/place hope in there being other diversions?
3) Are you expecting to get bored of the eternal God?
I'm not asking to sound pompous - I'm asking becuase anything less (read: anything mortal, anything corruptible and physical, in this case, sex) wouldnt be sufficient to give me (I dunno about you) the hope I know I have simply knowing I'll be spending eternity in God's presence.
We'll be closer to the people we love through being close to Him than what something as crass and base as sex could ever do - closer to the people we love than we could ever be on Earth.
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you suffer from what we all do: having a small, limited human mind. The fact that yours might be a teensy bit smaller and less imaginative would hardly be worth mentioning...
hardly...
