Muslim & Christian Discussion ForumPlease try and convince me otherwise. :: replyreply You believe that God commanded Moses to do the things that are mentioned in those scriptures. The very same God who you say is Jesus. Erroneous of time period or for whom those commandments were given, was God justified in telling his Prophet, Moses, to dash infants against rocks, and to take little girls for yourself after the fact that you've killed everyone they love? God is God, his commandments are there for you to see, and I would like your honest opinion God's actions ...... If the OT does not apply today, fine, I don't care; What I want to know is why it was okay for Jesus to be so vengeful and cruel back then, and when he comes to earth and becomes a human, he curls up? (by the way, you might as well discard the 10 commandments and everything virtueous in the OT as well. Its not right to take what you like and leave out what you don't like; ie. the 10 commandments are not for you Christians to follow) Basically, please somebody tell me what you think about what God commanded and did, as quoted in the verses above. Do you agree with the explicit violence and rape described in your holy scriptures? Would you call the violence holy or unholy? Thanks, I'd appreciate it By the way, I am not justifying terrorism ..... I am set to prove that Islam does not teach violence ..... quote any verse you like and I'll prove that it does not incite violence and terrorism, but kindly also deal with the verses I quoted, and tell me if you agree with God's actions .... Are you saying God made a mistake in His commanding vicious and atrocious murders and uncalledfor conquering of cities? Roman Catholics (mainstream orthodox Christians) committed atrocities in Jesus name during many of their Crusades and forced conversions ..... If this is the bad era for Islam, and 20 years later Islam is extremely peaceful, would you be ready to admit, that Muslims learned from their mistakes, no different than how Christians learned from the Crusades they ran a few years ago? |
