From my point of view, Christ leads me to salvation. Salvation leads me to feel guilty when I sin. Feeling guilty leads me to want to sin less and follow God more. Following God more leads me to a closer relationship with Him. All of this leads to an eternity in heaven with Christ.
Your point of view on my point of view seems to be focused mainly on the guilt aspect. But guilt is not the only emotion Christians know, and if your a Christian who is living a right life before God, it's an emotion that should be rare.
For me? I'll pass. Thank you.
What, then, is the hope in what you believe? Is the only thing that you have to hold on to the "reassurance" of living a guiltless life? What do you believe happens to you when you die, and do you believe that your life now has any bearing on how your next life will be?
