Quran and Bible debateKoran confirms Jesus Crucifixion...i can tell you: 1. The Pseudo Gospel of Matthew (contains the story of the palm tree) 2. Thomas' Gospel of the infancy of Jesus Christ (contains the story of jesus and the clay pigeons) 3. The Pirke Rabbi Eleazer (contains the story of Cain and Abel) 4. The Midrash Rabbah (contains the story of Terah the idolator) 5. The Mishnan Sanhedrin (contains the well known verse 'if anyman kills a man it will be seen as if he killed the whole race') 6. The Zoroastrian Pahlavi book Arta-i Viraf Namak (contains the Miraj) 7. The Seven Sleepers of Ephesus (contains the story of the Islamic Companions of the cave) Ask me about the stories and i'll literarry quote these books for you... and it doesn't stop at that, the list of borrowings never stops... well he did took 40 years over it. You also have the story of Zachariah, father of John the Baptist, wich is based upon a second-century Christian fable and the false belief about God, Mary and Jesus making up the trinity was also peddled by a heretical sect called the Choloridians which had been banished to Arabia at the time. Other then that you have other obvious non pure literal borrowings from The Old Testament (repeating revelation and claiming as new), Arbian pagan rituals (kaaba, rammadan, almsgiving, running between two hills, etc...) and The Manichean's prophet title (as The Last Prophet and Seal of The Prophets, finalizing a succession of men guided by God). Also borrowings from Zoroastrism the Chinvat bridge is remarkably similar to the Sarat Bridge, Shaiytan and Azazel are common known and used words for the devil, as is djinns and houris (or Fairies as the Parsis call them). "These are nothing but tales of the ancients." 6:25 the early critics were right all along yes, plenty heretical ones for sure and the eastern orthodox church had bibles too back then so they must of had translated versions. Are Muslims so ignorant of the history of their head honcho that they cannot realize and admit that he had a great deal of contact with followers or people who were somewhat knowledgeable of Christianity and Judaism? I ask you How can the Quran be the absolute word of Allah with these borrowed myths? |
