HELLO SOPHIE
Just catching up with you, been busy here, thanks for posting, I really did want to get some input from you, being Jewish I am sure you know much more than you have told us on this topic?
Can you tell us please, what is the Jewish position on original sin? Do your people have an official notion as to what it was, or are they just going along with the rebellion thing?
Further, when Israel was established, they had Genesis, true? I understand Moses wrote Genesis, so he might have shed some light on what he wrote, do you know anyting about this? Are there any Jewish books that record this period and could perhaps help with this topic?
Forgive me - I assume you are Jewish, not sure why I assumed that, the notion is in my head for some reason, are you Jewish?
You say you find my premise interesting, but decline on the modern references I made - why is that? Don't you think modern science is connected? Please explain?
So you were going to take me to task over that thing Beads mentioned were you? Here is my response in any case;
It is OK for us today to seek to understand what Adam and Eve did wrong, indeed I feel God expects us to understand it and hence He gave us Genesis. I was not seeking the knowledge of good or evil per se - I just want to identify what that knowledge actually was, there is a difference between identifying a murderer and actually murdering someone, true?
Bad analogy but I am pretty tired just now, its early in the morning and I still have not been to bed yet - gotta go!
Shalom to you too - ahhh, that's why I thought you were Jewish!
God love ya
Kerry
