The name says it all. Okay, here's my story.
My current boyfriend and I have known each other since we were four years old. When we were younger we were best friends, and when we got older we fell for each other and began dating. That was three years ago. We've had our problems, but for the most part things are wonderful. We are very much in love and plan on getting married after high school, if possible. We are both sixteen, and I know that you may think we're too young to be in love, but we're both very mature and have remained commtied to each other and are going to keep it that way. We're very close, and have a good, healthy relationship.
So, now that we're both teens, naturally the topic of sex has come up. We talk about it quite a bit, very mature, open discussions. We're very comfortable with each other and are able to talk about things like that.
So, what I (we) want to know, is: is sex okay in our situation? We're not married, but only because we're not able to be married yet. As soon as we're both old enough, we will be. I know the Catholic Church teaches that premarital sex is wrong, and I'm a good, faithful Christian and I don't want to go to hell.
Someone please help me, I don't know what to think. I know it would be very difficult to wait until marriage, so I want to know if it's okay or not in our somewhat unique situation. You may think I'm just a silly teenager with a long-term crush, but believe me, it's much more than that.
