3. Comparison of Persons
Now that we have established a couple of points, we are going to further prove that, even from within an already flawed argument, the comparison of personal traits, and heritage, and enpowerment (by Holy Spirit) refutes the Muslim argument.
While we could make a long list of irrelevant characteristics, and end up proving nothing but that we hold to different beliefs, I will only use three fields of comparison: Shared Single Point(s) of Origin, Life Experiences, and Ministerial Signs.
===================================Start Chart=================================
--SHARED SINGLE POINT(S) OF ORIGIN
Moses: Son of Levi, Tribe of Israel
Jesus: Son of Levi (through the line of Mary), Tribe of Israel
Mohammed: Tribe of Quraysh, Tribes of Ishmael (Note: The pure Israelite line ends with Jacob. Prior to Jacob, the lines were shared with multitude of others, among which is Esau, and his tribes, and all the descendants of Abraham, from all his concubines, including Ishmael. Therefore, there is no single point of connection shared, that would constitute the same lineage.)
--LIFE EXPERIENCES
Moses:
1. Moses was in risk of losing his life during his childhood.
2. Moses was trained in Egypt.
3. Moses came out from Egypt, to receive his ministry from God.
4. Moses spent forty days and forty nights on Mount Sinai, being tested, without anything to eat.
5. Moses was said to have spoken face to face with God.
Jesus:
1. Jesus was in risk of losing his life during his childhood.
2. Jesus was taken to Egypt, and trained there for the time being.
3. The NT states, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.” Thus, Jesus was brought out of Egypt, to receive his Ministry.
4. Jesus spent forty days and forty nights in the desert, being tested, without anything to eat.
5. Jesus spoke directly with God, face to face.
Mohammed:
1. Born in Arabia, member of the Quraysh tribe, raised as an orphan.
2. Raised and trained in the Arabian Peninsula, he was trained to be a trader. The tribal religion was neither Judaism nor Christianity.
3. Said to have been called to the ministry while still in Arabia, through a dream. Never left to any foreign land.
4. No record of ever spending any amount of time away from civilization, being tested, and ministered to by Angels.
5. Received his ministry through the Angel Gabriel. Never spoke face to face with God, nor did he ever receive the message through the Power of the Holy Spirit.
--MINISTERIAL SIGNS (TESTIMONY OF PROHETHOOD)
Moses:
1. God said to regarding the prophets, “I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him.” Moses was told the same thing, before being sent down to Egypt, “will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say.”
2. God gave Moses the ability to be “lord” over the Israelites, and gave him the ability to make many, many signs. He showed great power, and many miracles. He was able to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, and feed them food from heaven, and water from a rock. This is also testified by the passage in Deuteronomy 34, “Since that time no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, for all the signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to perform in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land, and for all the mighty power and for all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel.”
3. God appointed to him a helping hand, a prophet under his command, and one to go before him, laying out the way for him. Exodus 4:15
"You are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I, even I, will be with your mouth and his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do.”
Jesus:
1. Jesus said, “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father's who sent Me.” (John 14:24)
2. Jesus was the anointed one of God, set up as lord over the believers, shepherd of God’s people. He fed thousands of people from virtually nothing – five baskets of fish and bread. He performed many great miracles, among which is the one where he orders the sea to become passive, and allow his disciples to survive a violent storm. He even allowed a disciple to walk on water.
3. God sent John, to lead the way for Jesus. John prepared the people for the coming of the anointed one, the one to whom they would listen and follow, one greater than John himself. God also appointed the apostles to serve in the ministry, as ambassadors to the nations.
Mohammed:
1. Mohammed is said to have received notice of his ministry in a dream, by the angel Gabriel. No indication that he spoke with God, nor with the Holy Spirit. Though it is said that he was dictated the message of the Qu’ran, which he was said to have recited.
2. Mohammed was not sent to the Israelites, at least not in the first place. However, he gained his following first from his tribesmen, and then earned the following of other tribes.
3. There is no other prophet preparing the way for Mohammed. There is no helper, no one to testify of his message to the people. He alone bore testimony of himself.
