Marty
Marty, I respect you, but honestly. When I watch TV, I'm not lusting after anybody. Do I notice that Orlando Bloom ("Lord of the Rings") is a nice-looking fellow? Of course! Who wouldn't? But I don't lust after him.
My friend watches "CSI," because someone she knows is on that show. Does that mean that she's lusting after the men? No! It means that she's proud of the person she knows, and that she's supporting him.
I like to watch "Hannity & Colmes" and "The O'Reilly Factor." Am I lusting after the people who appear on these shows? No. It means that I want to be informed about what's going on in the world.
Am I lusting after cartoon characters, when I watch "Futurama?" Nope. It means that show makes me laugh.
Watching TV is fine, just as long as you're discriminatory about the programs you watch, and just as long as you don't lust after the people who appear in them.
