ArchivedWas John the Baptist Elijah? When the Jews ask whether John is Elias, the prophet, or the Christ, that does not imply that they mean the "prophet" and the "Christ" are two different people. They are just trying to figure out who John is in God's plan. You Muslims claim that Muhammed was the prophet and the comforter, but how come there is no record of people asking Muhammed the questions they asked John the Baptist? Concerning some of the prophecies in the OT: "For some it is obvious that they are prophecies about the same person, for some it could refer to another person or just be a description of another role that the same person was to fulfil." The Jews never claimed that "if you are not Elias then you are not the prophet and if you are not the prophet, then you cannot be the Christ." If you Muslims believe Muhammed was the "prophet" and the "comforter" then why can't you believe Jesus is the "prophet" and the "Christ" ?!!!!!!! You cannot have it both ways Muslims!!!!!!! |
