ArchivedPROPHECIES NOT FULFILLED (Part One)Like I said, even if you use this "proper translation," it still mentions the word "grave" in the exact same verse it mentions "high places." Does the grave symbolize death or does the grave symbolize God saving Jesus from death? Common sense would tell me that humans cannot resurrect and the seas cannot be split so people can walk across to the other side. My common sense is nothing in comparison to the things of God. If God says no bones will be broken, then no bones will be broken. It doesn't matter which translation I use, they all teach that God sacrificed Jesus for the sins of the world and you will have eternal life if you accept God's sacrifice and follow His ways. The New John Gill Exposition says, "though fairer than the children of men, as he was the immediate workmanship of the divine Spirit, and without sin; yet, what with his griefs and sorrows he bore, and troubles he met with; what with watchings and fastings, with laborious preaching, and constant travelling about to do good; what with sweat and blood, with buffetings and scourgings, never was any man's face more marred, or his form more altered, than his was." The New Testament shows these things- Jesus sweated BLOOD for crying out loud! Stones were throwed at him, he was smacked in the face, pearced in the side, spat upon, wore a crown of thorns. This guy suffered more than all of man combined. |
