Paul, Augustine morality etc.
First of all let me thank you for your writing. I stayed up very late last night reading my bible and thinking about some of the things you said before I bein I would offer you this on morality given by Paul. Check out Romans 13. "love fulfills the law. Owe nothing to anyone excet to one another, for the one who loves one another has fullfilled the law. all the commandments...( paul lists them not to commit adultery to not covet or kill etc) are summed up in this saying [namely] you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love does no evil to the neighbor; hence love is the fulfillment of the law."
I think thats pretty darn clear Aineo. If homosexuals in a loving relationship choose to be with one another they are doing as they would do to themselves and fulfilling the golden rule.
what I find really interesting though is corinthians quotation talks about "practicing homosexuals." I looked into the Greek which you are very keen on and the phrase commonly translated as "practicing homosexuals" refers specifically to men who solicit sex from cadamites or cup beares of the gods a common Roman/greek custom. Do you know what this practice was about. Boys forced into sex slavery being raped by men who paid money to do it to them. Wow thats VERY different than consentual gay sex wouldnt you say?
I didnt realize it but even if we chose to recognize everything that Paul says as the message of Christ which we shouldnt, for reasons I will elaborate on shortly the scripture you site doesnt even suport you argument when we read it closely.
