Christian/Muslim ThreadsWhy muslims cast stones at a well in Mecca. Is that so.
Obviously he didnt even know about the five daily prayers mentioned in the Quran that he was so devouted to in study. Its called interpretation. The Christians claim Deut. prophecy is refering to Jesus and Jews deny that Deut. prophecy is refering to Jesus and are still awaiting its fulfillment. As for where I stand on the interpretation that prejudice needeth to be removed in order to understand it. The two keys is 1) the Prophet will be like Moses and 2) He will come from the Children of Israel's brothers. It is a choice of interpretating these key facts. As for my self if is not refering to Jesus as Jesus in Christianity is considerd UNIQUE having no likeness to another human being or prophet. Even in Islam Jesus is Like Adam only. If Jesus is G-d as some Christians believe then he cannot be like Moses as the Bible says "..There is nothing like you (G-d) in the heavens nor in the Earth.." As for Jesus being like Moses will not hold Jesus in a unique status anymore and can be unbiasly said to be ambigious. As for teh other key, strickly as the grammar says. The prophet will come from Israel's brothers i.e. those who are brothers to the Israelites, in which Jesus was an Israelite. This is the grammar in the English and in the Hebrew. This is my finding. I dont tend to follow what some Church or Jewish traditional interpretation claims it to be when the grammar completely says something else different which is the same approach I have done with Islamic teachings. |
