We are discussing these things with non-believers and they do not want to hear "eternal" because they do not believe in that theory. They believe in "right now" and this life. Therefore, when I say a sin is greater than another, I'm talking about this life and the consequences attributed to the sin. If they can see this, maybe they can see the eternal effect of not relying on Christ. Yes the eternal consequences are all the same, but that's only if you have not acepted Jesus. We have all sinned regardless if we have accepted Jesus or not. So, in general, sinning does not get us into the Lake of Fire, but not accepting Jesus or neglecting the Holy Spirit with a non repentant heart does. |
