Free For all - Open Discussions and DebatesWhy sinners deserve hellWho says that the flesh will not be destroyed? Eternal damnation can imply a concious torment. But this will only open up another can of worms like "Is the spirit concious?" Ofcourse we will not know until we are dead or until we are resurrected. But this is similar to what I am saying about this current topic -- good arguments from both sides, no need to be dogmatic concerning such, unless ofcourse God has personally told you the truth concerning these matters. If I offer you a gift and you refused, it is common for me to say "Well, that's your loss." Therefore, in this context, losing something does not have to mean you had physical posession of it. You can lose opportunity. So what are you trying to say? How does this show annihilation and disprove eternal punishing? The main point I made the initial post was not to justify eternal punishing. In fact, I was shocked when I got a disagreeing post from you Aineo. My main purpose was to show that heaven would not be a place for unbelievers by even their own decision. If they were to enter heaven, they would want to leave because heaven is a place where God is glorified. And if you will not give God glory in this life, you are not fit for the kingdom. |
