Burning books, like mentioned above, is appaling, in my opinion. It is not only demeaning to the author, it adds to the greenhouse gases, which are already in excess. It is a complete and untter waste of paper, which is another product we need to recycle and use wisely so we do not have to resort to using old growth forests for paper.
And Lastly. Please don'tr condemn literature, of any kind. Literature is one of the best things that ever happened to humanity. It can not only be used by furuture historians to learn about these times but it also gives us who live inthe time of the literature to think about something, and see things from other peoples perspective.
I can also guarantee you that Harry Potter is no introductory course inot the occult. It has very little to do with with real magick in fact. I am a practicing witch, and I can tell you that pointing a wand at something and saying 'Wingardium Leviosa' does not allow me to levitate objects. I have not come across any 'real magick' in harry potter. Except for the magick of friendship and standing for all that is right and good. the most real part of harry potter was the divination. Those are real techniques, but everything else is nothing but fantasy.
As far as I know, J.K.Rowling is not recruiting pagans, with literature, so lets just let her and her fans be, let them do as they will, it isn't harming anyone. I love harry potter and see nothing wrong with it.
And sorry, but burning books is idiotic, stupid, childish, pathetic, desperat (obviously noone takes you seriously so you want attention), insane (you're probably an arsonist, people should keep an eye on you, make sure you don't go after bigger targets), evil (you're stealing literature from other people who don't believe the same things as you!!!), Mentally unstable (a book can't hurt you, and a book is hardly a witch not that i condone the evil witch trials for they were a wretched thing, but at least you poeple who burn things witchy aren't burning witches, you moved a step up).
Sorry if that last bit offended anyone, but that's just how i feel. How would you people feel if I were to burn the bible? It does not align with my personal beliefs.
Thanks, and again, don't take my posts personally. I am just very passionate about my beliefs.
