That the Bible can identify actions that harm society, and then forbid them is by no means proof of divinity. I could give a list of such actions and I can assure you I am not God. All it proves is that whoever wrote the Bible was fairly sensible. As for fulfilled prophecy, this claim is by no means unique to the Bible. Indeed the holy texts of the other Abrahamic faiths share large portions of it. Finally as for Christianity not being a religion, if you wish to put it so I will not disagree. It does not alter the debate. I am not posting to attack your faith but to stimulate debate in order to better understand it. On reflection, the use of the term “blind faith” was emotive and inappropriate and so I shall desist from using it in future. |
