Is partiality Godly? No, therefore we are not judge anyone based on diet or keeping a Sabbath, which goes counter to the Law. As to reading the Bible like "you and yours" that is a broad statement and a generality that you need to explain. If "you and yours" is based on what God's word reveals to those with a "mind to understand" then those who deny our freedom in Christ is not amoung the "you and yours".
As to my use of the term "dissect" that is what you have done with the majority of your posts. You have "dissected" Paul's teachings and discarded anything that denies your personal interpretation of John and other Bible authors. For instance on this thread you have ignored what Paul is teaching by dissecting Romans 14 and pulling out two words "herbs" and "meat". Paul warns about haggling over words (which communicate concepts):
1 Timothy 6:3-10
3 If anyone advocates a different doctrine, and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, 4 he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, 5 and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. 6 But godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment. 7 For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. 8 And if we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves with many a pang. NAS
You see Endurance you advocate a doctrine different from what Paul taught. Paul taught the Trinity (although he does not use that word); Paul taught we are not under the Law; Paul taught that diet is not a reason to judge another and neither is observing the Sabbath.
As to asking God for wisdom to understand His truth what makes you think "you and yours" have not done this? Based on your posts I suggest you deny anyone who disagrees with you has prayerfully sought the Holy Spirit to understand His word out of pride of your own intellect and private interpretations. Jehovah Witnesses, Mormans, and a plethora of cults state they have done what you claim to be dong and come up with heretical teachings. The Bible is a unit that must be understood as a whole.
