ArchivedBizarre Requests from God in the BibleIsaiah 55:8-9 > "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts." My main point is, do not try to reason out why God would do something through your own understanding. If God did something in the Old Testament you do not like, don't say things like "the teachings of god in the Old Testament are not like the teachings of God in the New Testament." God has not changed, and let Him do what He pleases. If He says to sacrifice someone you love for Him, or do something which seems to the human mind totally illogical, we are to do it anyway because He is God, and His word is above our feelings. That was my point. |
