Christian/Muslim ThreadsMuhammad not mentioned in the Koran...Greetings Aburaees,
Well…let’s look at this example… مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَكِن رَّسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمًا kana muhammadun aba ahadin min rijalikum walakin rasoola Allahi wakhatama alnnabiyyeena wakana Allahu bikulli shay-in AAaleeman 33.40 Mohammad was not a father (to) anyone from your men, and but Allah's messenger, and the prophets' end/conclusion/final, and Allah was/is with every thing knowledgeable. I find it most curious that the Arabic word translated as “Mohammad” مُحَمَّدٌ is never referred to as a “prophet” in Lanes Lexicon. Have any idea why this might be the case….?
Let’s look… وَإِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُم مُّصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَمُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَأْتِي مِن بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ أَحْمَدُ فَلَمَّا جَاءهُم بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالُوا هَذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ Wa-ith qala AAeesa ibnu maryama ya banee isra-eela innee rasoolu Allahi ilaykum musaddiqan lima bayna yadayya mina alttawrati wamubashshiran birasoolin ya/tee min baAAdee ismuhu ahmadu falamma jaahum bialbayyinati qaloo hatha sihrun mubeenun 61.6 And when Jesus Mary's son said: "You Israel's sons and daughters, that I am Allah's messenger to you, confirming to what (is) between my hands from the Torah, and an announcer of good news with a messenger (that) comes from after me, his name (is) Ahmad ." So when he came to them with the evidences, they said: "That (is) clear/evident magic/sorcery." أَحْمَدُ = “ahmadu” “ahmadu” definition: He (a man), came to a state, or result, such as was praised, or commended, or approved; properly, his affair, or case, came to such a state or result; or he did or said, that for which he should be praised, or commended; or that which was praiseworthy, or commendable. It comes from the root “hamida”, which means he praised, eulogized, or commended, him; spoke well of him; mentioned him with approbation. Also implies admiration; and it implies the magnifying, or honoring, of the object thereof; and lowliness, humility, or submissiveness, in the person who offers it. Reference: An Arabic-English Lexicon, E.W. Lane, volume two, pp. 638 - 640 Hence, there is absolutely no indication that this ayah should refer to Muslims “prophet”. Thus…again….Muslims are attempting to force-fit their “prophet” into text that was never applicable to him. What do you think….? |
