Christian/Muslim ThreadsLucifers Pride! But God raping someone has nothing to do with Him creating Jesus to die for our sins. The fact that Jesus is divine is not ungodly, but raping someone is ungodly. So the rape thing you mentioned is of no value in this discussion. Although God may have no limitations, He knows what is right from wrong. And the fact that God was incarnated in the flesh(Jesus) does not mean that God did something wrong. So this cannot be compared to Him raping someone. John 1:1 says that the Word is God, then John 1:14 says the Word became flesh. Therefore Jesus is God incarnated. Surely you cannot dispute this. I posted a whole bunch of evidence around this forum showing that Jesus was God incarnated. I would love to see you argue on ALL of them(No Muslim has yet to prove the evidence wrong. They always ignore it). But as Christians, our first duty is not to have you believe that Christ is God. Although I believe Jesus is divine, I can understand why you might have some doubt about that. The problem I have with Islam is the fact that it takes away Jesus' mission, which was to die on the cross. To take away Christs' divinity is one thing, but to take away His divinity AND His mission, now you've done it. What I'm saying is, you need to concentrate more on if Christ died on the cross for your sin rather than, if He is God. Muslims always try to draw Christians away from Christs' mission by picking an argument about if He is God, when we should be discussing if He died for our sins, which He did. After all, Jesus never said you are saved if you believe He was God, but you are saved if you believe He died on the cross for your sins, take Him as your Saviour, and be born again. God gave Jesus as a gift to us, because we could not follow the laws. We were guilty under law and therefore deserved hell. now we are saved by the grace of God, which is giving His Son Jesus to us. Islam rejects all of this, not only Jesus being divine. You no longer have to live under law, because Jesus died for the sins we committed under law. However, this does not mean you still do not follow law. We are not saved by good works, but we are saved UNTO good works. When you accept Jesus as your saviour, your good works mean something, but if you don't, your good works mean nothing. God gave Moses the law that man was not to eat pork. That was part of the law. But when Jesus came, He purified all foods(Mark 7:18-20). This was part of grace. Do you actually think if someone eats pork, they would go to hell? God gave this law for mans own benefit and health. I myself do not neglect the Old Testament laws, I try to follow them. So the things you Muslims do are no different from what I do. The only difference is, I accepted Jesus and you have not. You can either accept the gift of god or reject it. If you let Jesus in your life, He would "come in and dine with you." |
