Baptism is the first step in following Christ, so if we wish to follow Him, we are to be baptized.
If one does not wish to follow Him, then nothing is required of them.
If one has not been baptized, he is not following Christ who was.
When did the Disciples get Baptised?
.
Therefore
(we) are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4)
Baptism joins the believer with Christ and it is done as a testimony that he has experienced the reality of the conversion experience, this act is not to be equated with salvation but should be practiced by every Christian after conversion, which is why it is sometimes referred to asv the first step of faith. In the above passage since Paul was both a disciple and an apostle, disciple because he has learned from God and apostle because he has been delegated by Christ and sent forth to proclaim the message. So as to your question of whether or not the disciples were baptized, I would assume that Paul was indeed Baptized since he would most likely be among the "we".
God Bless!
