By silencing dissenting scientists the court mandated evolution.
Just like court mandated history. No one is being silenced. Creationists are free to publish books, websites, etc. Not any old person can dictate what should be taught in school, in any subject. A handful of Holocaust deniers, for example, cannot dictate that all history classes should include 'dissenting opinion' regarding that ugly period in history.
Now you are being idiotic.
Is that really necessary?
The Holocaust was witnessed by people who are still alive; you can't say that for evolution.
Witness testimony is not always reliable. The Holocaust revisionists have a great deal of evidence on their side (so they say).
True, there are no purported eyewitnesses for historical evolution, but there is docuemntation of large scale changes within recorded history (modern corn form teosinte, for example, or the diversification of cichlids in Lake Victoria).
And evolution is being dictated to be taught in schools as a scientific fact, which is defined as a fact by science. So you have a case of circular reasoning.
Just like with index fossils....
