Trinity DebateTrinity debate"There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope or your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." (Eph 4:4-6) It is plain that there is only ONE Spirit and ONE Lord and ONE God who is the Father. The ONE omnipresent Spirit (Father) is the invisible form of God. The Son is the human visible form of the ONE omnipresent Spirit. To claim there are three co-equal and co-eternal omnipresent Spirits - Father, Son and Holy Ghost is false. Notice the Bible states plainly that "the ONE God and Father is above all" meaning He does not and cannot have any co-equals. Moreover, since there is only ONE Spirit; the Holy Ghost and the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9) cannot be separate distinct persons but can only mean they are manifestations of the ONE Spirit. Now lets look at Luke 23:46: "And when Jesus had cried out with a load voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit.'"..." (NKJV) What spirit did Jesus commit to the Father? Notice the word "spirit" is not capitalized to indicate Deity but in lower case denoting non-Deity. Therefore it was the human spirit of Jesus that was commited to the Father. I noticed you capitalized "Spirit" in your question. Your question is mute because the Bible verse you quoted is not talking about an omnipresent Spirit of the Son but the human spirit of the Son. The ONE omnipresent Spirit (invisible form of the ONE God - Father) when manifest as a man (Son) had all the attributes of being fully human including having a human spirit as any human would. The Father (invisible form of God) simply co-existed with the visible form (Son) together at the same time. The invisible form (Father) was in heaven and indwelt the body of the visible human form (Son) at the same time. However, the human form (Son) was limited as a man in one place on earth at a time. Being limited as a man and being born of Mary made Jesus human but having the Spirit of the Father in Him and the fact He did not come from a human father made Him Deity. You have divided the dual nature of Jesus into separate persons to fit into a fabricated trinity. Again as I stated before and what the Bible clearly says is that the Son is the express image of the Father's person in reduced visible form as a man. (Heb 1:1-3, 2 Cor 4:4, Col 1:15) Not the image of a pre-existent Spirit Son. Furthermore, Aineo did not explain how three spirits indwell the believer. There is ONE Spirit that indwells the believer, period. The Spirit of Christ in Romans 8:9 and the Spirit of God and the Holy Ghost are titles of the manifestations of the ONE omnipresent Spirit. I already answered your question regarding the two witnesses but you read over it. The two witnesses are: 1. The Invisible Form of God (Father - Spirit) 2. The Visible Form of God (Son - man) Both Forms of God gave witness to each other. |
