Science, Creation & EvolutionHelix - atheist :: ReplyReply Helix, when will you be convinced that God is real? Because I hope it won't be when you're standing before Him on Judgment Day, because then it'll be too late. You'll have lost your chance to be in Heaven. You also wrote Him off as a cruel God. Yes, He does allow us to go through trials and tribulations. But He never, ever, ever allows us to go through more than what we can handle, and He always makes sure that we are rewarded for our endurance. Cruelty is part of the sinful nature. Do you mean to accuse a just, holy and righteous God of sin? If you still think God is cruel and heartless, just take a good look at John 3:16-18, which tells everyone just how loving God is. I'd like to ask you a question. When you go on the internet, you're using a computer. You know that it was created, which means that there had to be people who not only designed the computer and determined what its function would be, but who also created the various parts and put them together, all so your computer would function. Now, you don't know the names of all of the people who were involved in your computer's creation, but you know that the computer had various creators. Now, doesn't it make sense that everything you see in the world -- all of the examples I gave to you -- had to be created by Someone with the intelligence, power and creativity that was required to bring all of these things into existence? You claim that there is no God, as though you are stating an absolute fact. In order to know that there is no God, you would have to know everything. It's like saying, "There's no gold in China." In order to know that, you would have to know everything about China. And if there is no God, I challenge you to read my testimony (You can find it on my website.) and tell me how it is that I went through such a drastic change in my life. Because believe me, it wasn't by my own effort. How could I have changed so drastically, without the aid of the Holy Spirit, who is God residing within me? The truth is, you do not know if God is real, which makes you an agnostic, not an atheist. I invite you to visit www.dictionary.com and read the definitions of atheist and agnostic. To end my post, I'd like to invite you to visit this website, which poses some interesting questions about the Big Bang theory. Wouldn't hurt you to take a look. Would it? http://www.victorybaptistmd.org/tracts/ ... est-1.html |
