reincarnation
Good morning and God bless.
I do belive in past lives and reincarnation and have documented many cases of it.
You ask for bible verses, with out grabbing my bible and looking up the exact verses I will try to give you the content of verses that reflect on the possibility of it. Other than that read Dr Brian L Weiss' books especially Many Lives Many Masters, in it you will see the verses and his study of the Jewish religion that does belive in it as well and where the church and Constitine the Great removed it from the bible so man would have control over man. That said let me say this please
The one verse is where the deciples asked Jesus "why is this man blind, for his sins or his parent's sins?) how could he have sinned when he was born blind in this life,it would have to have been for the sins he committed in a past life. Again Christ asked them, "who do the people say I am" they said " Enoch or Elijah or John the Baptist or another great prophit that has returned" Jesus asked them "who do you say I am" and they answered " You are the Christ". why didn't Christ admonish them for suggesting reincarnation. Once again, the bible says. " It is appointed onto man once to die then the judgement" how ever this is not the great white throne judgement. Yes man, the body dies once but the soul lives on. The judgement is the soul being judged about what it did, didnt do, or accomplish or not accomplish and the bad karma it created while on earth in the form of "man" until it did the "appointed on to man to die once". After that it tought and educated to return to complete its works to "become as much like Christ and we can" then when we have done that after many many life times on earth, we face the great white throne judgement that is performed when we have reached the point as becoming as much like Christ as we can and received into heaven.
The statement that "in My Fathers house are many mansions" may mean that each body, each time we become reincartnated we receive a new body or "mansion", the temple in which Christ dwels.
One last thing please, since Crist died for us on the cross we don't have to come back any more unless we choose to, to become more developed and to become more like him. Since he gave his life for us this time we can leave this earthly mansion "man" and remain with Him.
Thank you for allowing me to share my belief. God bless you all who read this.
Michael
