Gerani
Gerani, you mentioned that you have friends who claim to be both Christian and Hindu. If your friends were ever true members of the Christian faith, they would know that God does not condone apostasy and spiritual adultery. Both are serious crimes against the Lord, and both carry heavy penalties.
I hope they will read the follwing verses. The first set covers the sin of apostasy, while the second set covers the sin of idolatry.
Matthew 24:9-12
2 Thessalonians 2:3
1 Timothy 4:1-3
2 Peter 3:17
Luke 8:13
Hebrews 6:4-6
Hebrews 3:12
Exodus 20:3-6; 20:23
Deuteronomy 4:15-19
Deuteronomy 12:31
Deuteronomy 27:15
Acts 15:29
Acts 17:16
1 Corinthians 6:9-10
1 Corinthians 10:14-20
1 John 5:21
Revelation 21:6
1 Kings 18:27
2 Chronicles 25:15
Isaiah 44:9-17
Because they became dissatisfied with the Christian faith and decided to forsake God due to the fac that Christianity is "confusing," I'm led to believe that they never completely accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Even as a "newbie" Christian, I know that it takes a while to move from a state of confusion to a state of clarity. Some Biblical Scriptures confuse me greatly, but I take the time to do some research and to even ask my more experienced Christian friends for help. I think it's very sad that some people would choose to abandon God, just because He doesn't allow them to know all of the answers right away. That is not a sign of true faith and obedience.
I'm not saying this to judge your friends. But as a Christian, I've been charged with the task of telling the truth and gently rebuking other people when they've followed the wrong path.
