To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: when He decreeth a matter, He saith to it: "Be," and it is. (The Qur’an El-Bagarah 117)
Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless thou follow their form of religion. (The Qur’an El-Bagarah 120)
Say: Will ye dispute with us about Allah, seeing that He is our Lord and your Lord; that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that we are sincere (in our faith) in Him? (The Qur’an El-Bagarah 139)
Or do ye say that Ibrahim, Isma'il, Ishaq, Ya'qub, and the Tribes were Jews or Christians? Say: Do ye know better than Allah? Ah! who is more unjust than those who conceal the testimony they have from Allah? But Allah is not unmindful of what ye do! (The Qur’an El-Bagarah 140)
And even if you bring to those who have been given the Book every sign they would not follow your qiblah, nor can you be a follower of their qiblah, neither are they the followers of each other's qiblah, and if you follow their desires after the knowledge that has come to you, then you shall most surely be among the unjust. (The Qur’an El-Bagarah 145)
When it is said to them: "Follow what Allah hath revealed:" they say: "Nay! we shall follow the ways of our fathers:" what! even though their fathers were void of wisdom and guidance! (The Qur’an El-Bagarah 170)
