Christian/Muslim Threadsa must readPeace humble guest, Doesn't matter, it is not truely a law of God that we should kill someone because they commited a sin. Adultery is certainly deplorable, but it is a personal choice between people that we don't have the right to kill them because they made a decision like that. Their punishment will come from God. Because Jesus abrogated the Law of Moses, not that His abrogation would be abrogated, only taking us back to point A. No sir, that's not how it works. Jesus corrected some humanistic laws of Moses, further establishing the perfect and divine Law of God. Islam, since it is a work of man, teaches humanistic laws. So Islam goes against the divine and perfect law of God that Jesus corrected and purified. No because Moses isn't God. Really that shouldn't matter. Jesus never had a wife, but most Christians marry. We know that Jesus's mission was so special and significant that He did not take a wife. Actually that is Jesus Christ who is the perfect example. No man can match His perfection! Muhammed killed people and led wars and things, things that God is not pleased to see men do. The prophets of the Old Testament were called by God to speak His feelings and will to Israel. Zoroaster and Muhammed are not prophets of the God of Israel. We do not worship the same God. Alot of their scriptures were written really late or were destroyed, but some of their scriptures are very old, written in Avestan. That language is very close to Sanskrit which is really old. But he was a religious teacher that taught a kind of monotheism to his people. Certain apocryphal Zoroastrian stories and writings and influences are clearly seen in the Quran. For instance, in the Quran two angels are mentioned together, "Harut and Marut"(2.102). In Zoroastrianism God creates 7 powerful archangels, and two are almost always mentioned together: Hordad and Amurdad. Also you believe in the As-Sirat bridge, well the Zoroastrians believed in the Chinwad bridge, the bridge of judgement. And their view of heaven (Garothman) is very similiar to Jannah. People in their heaven sit on high lofty thrones and are served food that never goes bad and stuff like that. Certainly Islam has a lot of that faith integrated into it. And yes, I also believe that Zoroaster is not a true prophet, so his faith is not divine. And I also believe this about Muhammed. The Word of God doesn't contain apocryphal stories and stuff from not-divine religions. |
