Christian/Muslim Threadsa must readNot if it's a divine law with regulations. I think you have this wrong understanding that people are looking for adulterers to stone. The fact of the matter is, it's rare that two people will commit adultery in the view of four witnesses. Not even a husband's testimony against his wife is sufficient. Yeah he's a celeb, but no way is he THE most famous Islamic scholar. I think you know him because he does a lot of inter-faith dialogue. I'm definitely going to look into that to get some background on the rulings for you. Frankly I don't see how it's regression, God abrogating His own laws is never a regression. Obviously they did, then. Not really, they were essential in preserving all the actions of the Prophet so Muslims know exactly how to live. This is something other faiths lack, any clear and certain biography of the way their prophets lived. Actually the Prophet showed mankind how to live as a perfect person, balancing this world and the Hereafter. Nice job in ridiculing the Prophets of the Old testament there. Also, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was never rich, died poor, didn't exercise power except in enforcing the Laws of God, and best of all, his wives were not the widows of his companions, older women, not even known for their beauty. I don't even know what Zoraster ever said, the Azvesta, the book of Zoroastrian, was compiled 1,500 years after the death of its author. It's like a Bible of Zorastrianism. So I hesitate to make any statement about Zoroaster if the Zorastrian Scripture is a pseudo-paraphrasing. Anyone who has blind faith in something when they are unsure it is the EXACT word of God is making a dangerous compromise to their life now and in the hereafter. I'm sorry, but the only persons who claim that the Bible is the authentic word of God are laymen or theologians. Even the most religious of Christian Historians admit that it is not the pristine word of God. They still believe it, which is their choice, but there is still doubt as to whether everything it contains was truly said by the people it claims to quote. On the other hand, academics and historians of all faiths and non-faith say that the Qur'an of today is the same one as was uttered by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). The only difference is that people don't believe the Qur'an was divinely revealed to the Prophet. Notice the difference in "blind faith". Peace bros |
