ArchivedQuestion about my sister :: ReplyReply I'm not absolutely certain, because I haven't read the four gospels thoroughly. But didn't it rain shortly before Jesus passed on? Or did it rain afterward? Pastor Hunt discussed a similar subject during his sermon. He was talking about how even just the tiniest drop of faith in God is enough to see us through. (We were learning about Gideon at the time.) Anyway, I think my sister will be baptized. She has considered it more than once, so I would be very surprised if she didn't go through with it. She told me that when she was going to one of many Christian schools, she asked about being baptized. The pastor told her that he only baptized people in groups. And a few years ago, my sister brought up the possibility of us being baptized. Ironically, our roles had reversed. She was very interested in it, and I was, unfortunately, indifferent. Since I wasn't a devout Christian, I didn't even know what a baptism was. Hopefully, my sister will decide to be baptized this coming Sunday, along with yours truly. Dad would like to see us both baptized, and he's talked about his own baptism more than once. I've been checking out some websites that discuss baptism, and at least two of them look down upon any form of baptism that does not involve immersion. That irritates me, because my mother was sprinkled with water, and my aunt had it poured on her. Does it make any difference? |
