Science, Creation & EvolutionEvolution VS Bible debateEven if Mike was contradicting himself, you will have to excuse him seeing that science accepts contradictions according to Jovaro. So adhereing to that logic, you complaining to Mike on his unclear statements is unscientific. How can you explain my reasoning when you are making quotes that I never said? I never said, "God exists because the bible says so. I believe the bible because it is the word of God." And if I did, it clearly would be taken out of context by making it seem I have blind faith. Before starting arguments on complexities such as "Circulo Probando" one should learn the basics of writing, such as how to not put words in people's mouth. Also, one can believe by having a child-like faith because God is no respecter of persons. This is something you should expect from a perfect God. But what else does God's word say? Galatians 6:4>But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 1 Thessalonians 5:21>Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. If you read the entire book of proverbs, it teaches you to go after knowledge and wisdom. In order for someone to have faith in anything at the beginning, they must take first steps and be child-like. Then they grow and mature in whatever faith they have, and it is no longer child-like. God is not saying you will have child-like faith your whole life, but if you want to know Him, you have to take the first step. This is something which science also uses. Risks are taken in experiments by a leap of faith. Then after it has been proven, the faith in that experiment is no longer child-like. |
