Neither person is going to win here, the God/Bible relationship is a tautology:
Why is the Bible correct? Because God dictated it.
How does God exist? Because the Bible says he does.
Gravity has the same problem, except gravity has a lot of physical evidence going for it.
The major problem most non-christians have with christianity is that it is more self-righteous than any other religion(a la crusades). I'm not saying that these feelings are very widespread, but, to quote Clemens, "It takes only half a man to start a lynch mob". It certainly seems like these "agressive christians" are more prevalent, because the more pacifistic ones are, well, passive.
