Hi Aineo
The U.S. does have a state religion. It is apostate Christianity. Apostate Christianity is a religion that has an outward shell (Jesus) without His heart or love.
Let me ask you - Doesn’t King George consider himself a Christian? Didn’t he say that God told him to attack Al Queda and Saddam Hussein? Doesn’t John Ashcroft present himself as a Christian. These men are living out the state religion of today.
You may think that this “war on terror” is justified, but your scriptures do not prove that. The ones that I posted in the beginning of this thread show how a Christian responds to those who hate us.
Secondly, if you could read your post from the perspective of those who have been invaded by the U.S., it would be more realistic. That the U.S. Military, prompted by it’s government representatives, which is prompted by it’s religious leaders, are the terrorist who are “ out to conquer and control the world”.
Let me ask you a few more questions. How many governments pump billions of dollars into America to get Americans to rebel against its government as the U.S. has done to its adversaries? How many governments spend even half of the money in military spending as the U.S.? How many other governments have military personnel stationed in 130 countries worldwide, as the U.S. does? This should paint quite a picture as to who the real terrorist are.
One last question. If someone told you that you must go to your neighbors house and murder everyone inside the house, you would likely tell that person to take a hike. Yet, for some strange reason, the christian of today holds up a scripture (Matt. 16:16-22) as a license to donate to those who do the murdering.
God does not view things as the mob of christianity does today. If I pay thugs to murder my enemies, God takes note of it.
