It is written:And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom{Paradise section of Hades}: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Luke 16:22-26 Hades has two compartments: 1.Abraham's bosom 2.Torment section When Jesus said that to day you wil be with me in paradise, he meant Abrahams bosom and then to Heaven. Before Jesus had died and was crucified for our sins, all the saints and prophets in the past rested in Abrahams Bosom. The sacrafice of lambs without blemish only covered the sins in the Old Testament, therefore could not be in the presence of Almighty God. But when JESUS precious blood was sacrificed it cleansed our sins and not only covered them, so now all the prophets and saints who lived prior to the crucifixion of Jesus ascended to Heaven after Jesus was crucified and died and descended into hades to lead those in the paradise section of Hades to the 3rd Heaven which is Gods throne. For it is written: 2 Corinthians 5:8 - We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. God Bless! |
