Christian/Muslim ThreadsSin and its forgivenessPeace Carol, The person needs to repent sincerely and begin to make Wudu correctly so that the prayers could perfected. The issue of knowing whether your repentence is accepted or not is up to God Almighty. If the repentence is done with the soul intention of improving one’s islamic life, then such a person is assured forgiveness. However, a person should always say “God-willing”, for it is not our place to say what God should do or shouldn’t do. It is ultimately up to God. Allah says in the Quran: "Say: Oh my servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, for Allah forgives all sins; for He is oft-forgiving, most merciful." [Surah 39, Verse 53] I’d agree with most of what you wrote except death being a consequence of sin. Peace and Blessings be to the Believers |
