ArchivedPAUL IS THE ANTICHRIST! :: Re: PaulRe: Paul

Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. However, in utter contradiction to Jesus Christ's affirmation of the eternal validity of the Torah, as long as Heaven and Earth are extant, Paul blasphemously claims that Christ came to "destroy the barrier... by abolishing in his flesh the Torah." This alone is proof that Paul is an outright Imposter and Liar, the Great Pretender.
"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the Law with its commandments and regulations." Ephesians 2:13-15
"The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the Torah made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God." Hebrews 7:18-19
My Christian friend, PLEASE explain this rationally... Are the Torah and Prophets abrogated or not?
The answer to your question is yes and no. However, before I continue would you please furnish what translation of the Bible you are using?
Now let us look at the verses you posted in their full context.
Matthew 5:17-48
17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. 18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass away from the Law, until all is accomplished. 19 "Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and so teaches others, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.
21 "You have heard that the ancients were told, 'You shall not commit murder' and 'Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.' 22 "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever shall say to his brother, 'Raca,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever shall say, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell. 23 "If therefore you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your offering there before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. 25 "Make friends quickly with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way, in order that your opponent may not deliver you to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. 26 "Truly I say to you, you shall not come out of there, until you have paid up the last cent.
27 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery'; 28 but I say to you, that everyone who looks on a woman to lust for her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 "And if your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body perish, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 "And if your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off, and throw it from you; for it is better for you that one of the parts of your body perish, than for your whole body to go into hell. 31 "And it was said, 'Whoever sends his wife away, let him give her a certificate of divorce'; 32 but I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except for the cause of unchastity, makes her commit adultery; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
33 "Again, you have heard that the ancients were told, 'You shall not make false vows, but shall fulfill your vows to the Lord.'34 "But I say to you, make no oath at all, either by heaven, for it is the throne of God, 35 or by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. 36 "Nor shall you make an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black. 37 "But let your statement be, 'Yes, yes' or 'No, no'; and anything beyond these is of evil.
38 "You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.' 39 "But I say to you, do not resist him who is evil; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 "And if anyone wants to sue you, and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. 41 "And whoever shall force you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 "Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.
43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.' 44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you 45 in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax-gatherers do the same? 47 "And if you greet your brothers only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 "Therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect. NAS
All to often Christians, like you stopped at verse 20. Jesus goes on to fulfill or complete the Torah by teaching that motivation is equal to the act. In plain English Jesus made the Torah an impossible set of Laws to keep. How many men can live a lust less life, never get angry, take their own vengeance, etc.? I don’t know any who can including myself.
You need to understand that Jesus’ earthly ministry was only to the Jews. Matthew 15:24
24 But He answered and said, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." NAS You also need to understand that the Torah was given only to the Jews. “Speak to the sons of Israel” is used 30 times by Moses in the Torah.
So what is Paul teaching?
Ephesians 2:13-15
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, NAS
Christ Jesus took the penalty of the Law (Torah) upon Himself thereby fulfilling once for all time the sacrificial requirements for the remission of sin. Hebrews 9:22 And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. NAS
Hebrews 7:11-21
11 Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the people received the Law), what further need was there for another priest to arise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be designated according to the order of Aaron? 12 For when the priesthood is changed, of necessity there takes place a change of law also. 13 For the one concerning whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar. 14 For it is evident that our Lord was descended from Judah, a tribe with reference to which Moses spoke nothing concerning priests. 15 And this is clearer still, if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedek, 16 who has become such not on the basis of a law of physical requirement, but according to the power of an indestructible life. 17 For it is witnessed of Him,
"Thou art a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek."
18 For, on the one hand, there is a setting aside of a former commandment because of its weakness and uselessness 19(for the Law made nothing perfect), and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. 20 And inasmuch as it was not without an oath 21(for they indeed became priests without an oath, but He with an oath through the One who said to Him,
"The Lord has sworn
And will not change His mind,
'Thou art a priest forever'"); NAS
Paul is not teaching the Torah was abolished, he teaches it was set aside since our High Priest is Christ Jesus a member of the tribe of Judah, not the Levitical priesthood of Aaron. Paul also correctly states that the Law (Torah) made nothing perfect, which is why the sacrifices were required to atone for sin or violating the Law.
The letter of the Law does not apply to Christians the reasons for this are found in Acts 10 and 15. The Law has now become our tutor. Galatians 3:24 The Law is useless and weak for making us perfect; however it is useful as our turor for leading us to Christ. You really need to read Romans to get a better understanding of how Paul viewed the Law.
Now Paul does not state the Prophets have been set aside or that the Prophets were weak and useless. Not all the Messianic prophecies have been fulfilled.
Paul cannot be the anti-Christ of Revelation since Paul died before Revelation was given to John. The Anti-Christ will meet very specific requirements that Paul does not meet. Paul never had authority over political regimes, the Anti-Christ will.
you have answered my question, but you have only done so by quoting PAUL. i ask you to quote using Scripture of PROPHETS not of a self-appointed "Apostle" who was formerly a criminal, who was a collaborator with the Herodians, and did not deny claims that he was a god.
First and foremost, you are misrepresenting what Paul said. He did not say "The Torah does not apply to non-Jews" he said:
"The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the Torah made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God." Hebrews 7:18-19
Paul is saying Jew or Non-Jew, the Torah had been ABROGATED, SET ASIDE by the very man who claimed he came NOT to do such a thing!
Answer that FIRST Nevertheless, beyond that Non-Jews had been under the Noachide Laws for almost 5,000 years!
As far as Yashua/Isa/Jesus coming only to "the children of Isreal" this has been a misunderstanding for years. If one knows their history, they will see that the whole idea of an ethnic "chosen people" who can claim ownership of jerusalem is a lie. Certainly Moses was a hebrew, as were many of his followers. But when he led 'his people' out of Egypt into Palestine, he was not leading just one racial group out of slavery and into the 'promised land'. Rather, he was leading a whole multitude of races who had come to accept his teaching (and this group included black africans, arabs, asians, europeans that had resided as slaves in Egypt etc.). It is this group that came to be called the Jews. However, when Rome sacked Jerusalem, and the Jews were disbersed, this community went in many directions. Those who had been more of European descent migrated back towards Europe and intermarried, becoming intertwined with the local populations where they settled etc. Those who were primarily of Hebrew and Arab ethnicity (both a Semetic people), as well as the multitude who were a mix of all the people who had been in the first exodus out of Egypt, stayed in the region, and those who were primarily of African background went back into Egypt and Ethiopia etc (and to this day you have remnants of this Jewish community still intact in Ethiopia). The reason for this split, is that they were being persecuted by the Romans and had to go to where they could blend in and continue to practise their faith.
During the last 2,000 years, many of the descendants of this group who were physically related to the orginal "tribe of israel" gradually became involved in both Christianity and then Islam. Others maintained their Judaism (although as with any religion, much of this became in name only, with the mystics - such as the Jewish practisioners of Qaballah - becoming fewer and far between). So you have a very complicated situation that developed in terms of understanding this whole issue.
Isa/Yashua/Jesus was sent to ALL nations All races and ALL tribes. Your claims are baseless
