The other interpretation is, it says a person is justified, not faith. It doesn't say faith is justified, but a person is justified by using deeds with your faith. We are not saved by faith alone: "You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone." (James 2:24) Separating deeds and faith as two different things but complete when used together. That can go into the Abraham analogy too. Try to think very hard what I am saying before you answer. Any book can be open to interpretation to the personal views of the person. You can't go inside the mind of the person that wrote it unless you are a really good psychic. You don't know how logically thinking they were, which interpretation they were trying to imply. That is why a really old book can not be the vehicle of the word of God. It has been used to take away the rights of minorities for thousands of years. Gays, Women, Slaves, the disabled, etc. |
