Aineo wrote:So to answer webmasters question will there be homosexuals in heaven the answers is yes, but they will be men and women who had a gay orientation and choose to live a celibate life in obedience to Biblical truth.
preacherintraining wrote:All i'm saying is that people who actually practice it without following God's salvation plan will not be in heaven.

I have no doubt that people like Aineo - those who have abandoned their homosexual lifestyle and come to Christ - will be allowed entrance into Heaven.
People like BQO, however - those who have rejected the very idea that homosexuality is a sin - won't be.

Each and every single one of those quotes puts words into God's mouth. God does not specifically say that reformed homosexuals will be allowed entrance, so to assume so is mere prattle.
Romans 3:23
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, NAS
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God. NAS
1 John 1:9-10
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. NAS
1 John 3:1-12
1 See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is. 3 And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 4 Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. 5 And you know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother. 11 For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; 12 not as Cain, who was of the evil one, and slew his brother. And for what reason did he slay him? Because his deeds were evil, and his brother's were righteous. NAS
Revelation 21:7-8
7 "He who overcomes shall inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. 8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death." NAS
There is no doubt that no man can live a totally sinless life, however, those who continue to practice any sin, no matter how minor we may think it is, will not go to heaven. Christ equated thoughts with actions; therefore lust = adultery, anger = murder, etc. But, we have this promise:
Galatians 3:26-29
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise. NAS
So how does one overcome our sinful nature? Confession of sin, repentance or turning from sin, and being clothed in the righteousness of Christ; this is the gift of God bestowed on those who really believe His promises and accept His gift. Yes, we will occasionally fall short of God’s perfection, which is why we all need His grace in our lives.
