ArchivedProve Islam with the BiblePeace all, That’s some powerful words you used there Webmaster. If you don't recall the verse specifically says "gives birth to" and that the reason why I stated " do spirits beget". I do not disagree with beget having multiple meanings, but the words "give birth to" are clear. Don't make it anymore complicated than that. By the way, is that the only thing you could extract from my post? Believer: Believer, I have proven to you why the Holy Ghost is not the spirit of truth mentioned. If you wish to delude yourself, then please go right on ahead. Well Believer, we believe what will reside in a Muslim is the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, and what we will have forever, is the Holy Qur’an, which might I add, is the only Holy Book that is in it’s original form. If you mean that will he literally reside in us, well that’s impossible, because Muhammad is a man. However, if you then disagree that it is not Muhammad from this short statement alone, then I have also proven to you, with hard evidence that the spirit of truth is not the Holy Ghost. So who then is the spirit of truth, if it’s not Muhammad. All I stated was that the verse meant those who are spiritually inclined are of spirit, meaning if what motives you is spiritual, then you are of spirit. Are these so called “born again” Christians spiritually inclined? Many of them argue that they are! Believer, I see you don’t understand the meaning of Messiah. Messiah is the transliteration of a Hebrew term, Mashiach. The New Testament (Greek) equivalent is Christos. Both terms mean "the anointed one." The verb mashach, found about 140 times in the Old Testament, means "to smear, anoint, or spread." So who was Jesus anointed by, God Almighty offcourse. From this word Messiah, it no way leads to the conclusion that Jesus was God. If it was so, John should have said instead “he that believes that Jesus is the Lord is born of God” but he didn’t, he only said “Christ”. I’ll give you some interesting figure on your so called “born again” Christians. A majority of born-again Christians (52 percent) deny Satan’s existence and the percentage is even higher with Catholics (72percent). This belief about Satan has been rather consistent throughout the 1990s. Amazingly, 55 percent of all born-again Christians also reject the Holy Spirit's existence. 53 percent contend that if a person is good enough, or does enough good things for other people, he will earn his way into heaven. One-third (34 percent) of all born-again Christians accept this notion. 40 percent believe Jesus committed sins while on earth. This is also the belief of 28 percent of born-again Christians. 39 percent say that Jesus was crucified, but He never had a physical resurrection. Nearly the same proportion of born-again Christians (35 percent) embrace this view. http://www.newsherald.com/archive/religion/ba011798.htm And you tell me that these people have the Holy Ghost in them. It seems that your “born again” Christians are as confused as any other Christians. Why isn’t the Holy Ghost aiding them in their confusion if they truly have the Holy Ghost as they say? Born again Christians, what a laugh! Peace and Blessings be to the Believers |
