ArchivedHeres my thoughts..Oh yeahhhhhh? what? Just tossing out a biblical passage doesn't make any sense here. If you're trying to tell me that the passage you quoted gives you the right to condem people, you should surely read that passage again. Of course there's all kinds of things that go on in public that are immoral, not just homosexuality. Besides, you're the one who brought up the whole IN PUBLIC debate in the first place and now you're saying that they don't need to take place in public to be wrong. Tell you what, don't go to Gay Pride parades if you don't want to see homosexuals engaging in minimal activities. That's a no-brainer. Don't go where you're likely to see these things happening if they make you feel uncomfortable. Sorry, but it's BetaMax. Interesting choice - unpunished. Where in the Bible does it say that you or anyone gets to be the one that punishes homosexuals or anyone else for that matter? Quote that passage please, where it specifically says that a particular individual gets to punish another particular person for their sins. You're obviously implying that someone gets to do the punishing. I totally agree that peer-pressure has powerful affect over others but all of this is pointless when it comes to homosexuality. Not every homosexual actively solicts or trys to convert others to their lifestyle. Don't lump all homosexuals into one category please. We get to condemn sin? Whatever happened to he who is without can cast the first stone? Here you are trying to compare homosexuality to something perverse like child molesting. This doesn't work because not every single homosexual is a child molester just like every priest isn't. From the passage you originally quoted above it says: they shall surely be put to death, not that they are worthy of death. Don't try to confuse me.. Wait a second now, no where in the Bible does it say that MrBanks gets to tell BetaMax what I must accept or reject. Don't get too holy now.. I can say with great probability that you have not met or intimately known very many of them then. Molestation in any case has devasting affects upon the victim so don't try to say that one is worse than the other. Trying to say that molestation of one kind is more painful than another is petty and heartless. You can't effectively compare homosexuals to kleptomaniacs, not anymore than you can compare homosexuals to car mechanics. Sure one might rip you off and leave your pockets empty but that doesn't mean that all mechanics are untrustworthy. Why is it that you constantly try to toss all homosexuals into one big evil category? It doesn't work... Give me some real debate material as I've poked holes in everything you typed. |
